Requirements of Policy Holders
Pets 0 weeks and up to 14 years old can be enrolled.
All medical history and records associated with your pet must be provided.
You also authorize Trupanion to contact any veterinary clinics or hospitals in your area to obtain all available medical records that exist for your pet.
Claims
Your claims will be handled by Trupanion. If you have questions about a claim, you can contact your State Farm agent to discuss, but they will not be able to file the claim on your behalf. Trupanion offers Vet Direct Pay. This means they can pay vet bills at checkout wherever direct pay is accepted, so you don't have to spend time filing a claim.
In the case that you do have to file a traditional claim, you can submit it via fax, mail, or email with invoice(s) within 90 days of treatment.
